Sylvia Walton Wright, MD

Sylvia Walton Wright, MD, entered Emory University in 1983 as a member of the prestigious Emory Scholars Program. During her college years, she was inducted into the Alpha Epsilon Delta Science Honor Society and Rho Lambda Leadership Honor Society and was consistently included on the Dean’s List for Academic excellence. After graduating from Emory in 1987, Dr. Wright spent two years performing both basic science and clinical research. In 1989, she entered Meharry Medical College, where she received numerous academic honors and awards including induction into Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, the highest honor bestowed a medical student. In May of 1993, she received her medical degree and became the fourth generation of her family to graduate from Meharry Medical College. In 1994, Dr. Wright entered the three-year dermatology residency program of Harvard Medical School, where she had the honor of serving as chief resident for the 1996-1997 academic year. Since joining Peachtree Dermatology Associates in 1997, Dr. Wright has lectured nationwide on a variety of topics and has served as president of the Atlanta Dermatological Association. She has a special interest in medical and cosmetic dermatology, including skin cancer therapy, anti-aging therapy, lasers, liposuction, Botox® and fillers.
